Katie Darling makes The Improved Holland Gin Cocktail (in 12 Seconds)

  • 2 shots of Bols Genever
  • 3 dashes rich sugar syrup
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 dash dry orange curacao liqueur

Stir over ice, strain and garnish with a lemon peel.

The Kina Cocktail (in 12 seconds):

  • 2 oz London Dry Gin
  • 1 oz Lillet
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth

The Apparent Cocktail (in 12 seconds)

  • 2 oz London Dry Gin
  • 1 oz Dubbonet
  • 1/2 oz Absinthe or Substitute (we used Pernod)

Stir on ice, strain and serve.

Justin James’ Japanese Stinger (in 12 seconds)

  • 1 oz Lemon
  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Yamazaki Whisky
  • 1 oz Fernet Branca

Shake, strain and top with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Cedric’s Cannon Cucumber (in 12 seconds):

  • 2 Cucumber Wheels
  • 1 Jalapeño Wheel
  • 3 Wedges of Lime
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 3/4 oz Plum Sake
  • 1.5 oz Leblon Cachaça

Muddle the Cucumber, Jalapeño and Lime with the Simple Syrup, add the Sake and Cachaça. Shake and double-strain into a highball glass.

The 12 Second Santisma Sour by Allan Katz

  • 1 1/2 oz. Gran Centenario Rosangel Tequila
  • 1/2 oz. Homemade Grenadine
  • 3/4 oz. Fresh Squeezed Meyer Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy
  • Barspoon of Absinthe Chili Tincture

Shake. Strain. And serve in a chili sugar salt rimmed cocktail glass.

Jason Littrell from The Randolph makes The Monkey Gland (in 12 seconds):

  • 1 oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Grenadine
  • 2 oz Beefeater Gin

Shake over ice and strain into an Absinthe rinsed glass.

The Bronx Cocktail (in 12 seconds)

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1/4 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 oz Orange Juice
  • Dash of Bitters

Shake with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a twist.

The Tart Gin Cooler (in 12 seconds)

In an ice filled glass, build:

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 2 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • 2 oz Tonic Water

Top with 2 dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters

Dale DeGroff’s Whiskey Smash (in 12 seconds)

  • 2-3 Mint Leaves
  • 2 Lemon Pieces
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz Maker’s Mark bourbon

Muddle, shake and strain over crushed ice.
